I had a mixed experience at the A&O Brighton Beach. The location is unbeatable, with great access to shops and the seafront, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the noise from the flats above was extremely disruptive, particularly at night. The breakfast options left something to be desired, especially the sausages. Overall, it was a decent stay but not without its drawbacks.

Rooms
8.0
The private room was spacious and had a great view of the beach. It had a private bathroom and the linens were of good quality. However, I could hear noise from the top floor, which was quite bothersome.
Service
9.0
The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with any queries I had. They even reserved me a lower bunk since I had recently injured my ankle, which I appreciated a lot.
Location
10.0
You couldn't ask for a better location. It was just behind the coach station and close to the pier, making it easy to explore Brighton. I could see the beach from my room and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was reasonably priced, but the options were a letdown. The sausages were overcooked, and there was no bacon. The hard-boiled eggs had a strange smell, and the pancakes were sweet even without toppings.
Facilities
7.0
The hostel offered good amenities, including a storage room for luggage and a welcoming atmosphere. However, I wish there had been more self-catering facilities, like a kettle in the room.

6.6/10

My stay at A&O Brighton Beach was a mixed bag. While the location was perfect and the staff friendly, the noise from the nearby nightclub and the constant thudding from upstairs made it hard to get a good night's sleep. The facilities were decent, but they could use some improvements in terms of cleanliness and breakfast options. 😅

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was quite large, but the decor was a bit dated, and I had issues with cleanliness, like torn sheets. I appreciated the helpful touches like a fan and heater but wished for better overall maintenance.
Service
8.0
The staff were welcoming and offered great assistance, especially with information about local transport and getting around Brighton. They really did their best to help with my concerns.
Location
9.0
The location was ideal, right by the beach and close to many restaurants and shopping options. It was just a quick walk to the pier and other attractions, which I loved! 🌊
Dining

Breakfast wasn't great. I found the sausages bland and the overall selection underwhelming. I would recommend trying local cafes instead for a better start to the day.
Facilities
7.0
The hostel had good kitchen facilities and a nice common area, but the noise from the nightclub and other guests detracted from the overall experience.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at A&O Brighton Beach. The location was fantastic, just a stone's throw from the pier and plenty of restaurants, but the noise levels were a significant issue. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made my stay a bit more enjoyable, though I encountered some cleanliness hiccups that detracted from the overall experience.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and I appreciated the modern bathroom and nice linen. However, I did notice some cleanliness issues, particularly under the bed and around the skirting boards.
Service
9.0
The staff were excellent—always cheerful and eager to help. They managed to resolve a mix-up with my room efficiently, which I really appreciated.
Location
10.0
The location is great, right by the beach and close to restaurants and shopping, making it super convenient for exploring Brighton.
Dining

Breakfast had its highs and lows for my taste. While the coffee was great, I found the options lacking—like the disappointing sausages and missing bacon, which were not what I hoped for.
Facilities
6.0
The hostel has nice facilities, including a chill-out area and good Wi-Fi in common spaces. However, I faced some noise disturbances from a nearby nightclub and above from other flats, which made sleeping difficult.

I recently stayed at A&O Brighton Beach and had a mixed experience. The location is fantastic for exploring Brighton, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the noise from a nearby nightclub made it hard to get a decent night's sleep, especially since it continued into the early hours. Overall, while I enjoyed the amenities and service, the disturbances were a significant downside.

Rooms
7.0
My room was of good size, with comfortable beds and quality linen. It also had a nice deep bath and shower, along with helpful features like a fan and heater. But, the noise from the nightclub really spoiled the experience at night.
Service
10.0
The staff were genuinely some of the most helpful and polite people I've ever met. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries and made my stay more enjoyable.
Location
10.0
The location is amazing, perfect for anyone wanting to explore the centre of Brighton or attend events. It makes getting around really convenient, which I appreciated a lot.
Dining
6.0
I found the breakfast options to be varied, though the quality could use some improvement. The sausages were not great, but there was enough choice for veggies and vegans, which was a plus.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities offered are quite basic but sufficient for a short stay. A nice welcome drink was provided, and the amenities like pet friendly services were a thoughtful touch.

I had a lovely stay at A&O Brighton Beach, where the location was just perfect and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. However, I did face some challenges with noise that affected my sleep, especially since the club nearby was quite loud. The amenities were decent, but there were a few hiccups with the breakfast quality that I wouldn't rate highly.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were a good size and clean, but the bedding had some issues like torn sheets. My bed wasn't pre-made, which was a bit disappointing.
Service
9.0
The staff were excellent, always friendly and ready to help. They fixed our fan request within minutes, which was great!
Location
10.0
The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from the beach and really convenient for nightlife and eateries.
Dining
5.0
While the breakfast offered a variety, I found the quality lacking, especially the sausages and the eggs. It might be better to eat out.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were clean and nice, but there were some stains on the carpets, and the furnishings need a bit of updating.
